About our team

Gutivate® means to take intentional action to prepare your gut for optimal digestion, immunity, and health.

We are a virtual nutrition counseling practice for those with digestive disorders and illnesses, including IBS, SIBO, IBD, celiac disease, and functional diarrhea or constipation.

We believe in taking a holistic approach to prioritize your physical, mental, emotional, and social wellbeing to manage your condition, because we know that a vibrant life is possible for you. We don’t use weight as a health marker, don’t count calories, and don’t give you a one-size-fits-all plan. We know your body is unique and your plan will also be unique.

Services we provide: the 1:1 Program that’s fully individualized to you and the MASTER Method Group Program for women with IBS.

I 110% got the care I needed from Gutivate! My life has changed tremendously after working with my dietitian. My gut health is SO much better and I continue to gain the confidence I need to trust that my body has and is still healing. I was sick after eating certain foods for a long time - that is no longer the case. Great program and great experience all the way around!

I have worked with several dietitians over the years - and no one has compared to Erin and the team at Gutivate.

I have suffered with chronic illnesses for over 17 years and was dismissed by many along the way. I suffered with IBS for years and was struggling with symptoms and episodes that I really needed support with. Erin has been incredibly supportive through all the ups and downs as I worked with multiple doctors, had several tests, scans, biopsies and procedures to help confirm and rule out other possibilities. She also brings such a wealth of knowledge and experience to every email and call.

She keeps up with the latest evidence-based research and when something is outside her scope (like me who has multiple chronic illnesses) she has a network of providers that she can reach out to for input. Erin and her team take the time to help come up with individualized plans and help you pivot as life happens and things change along the way. They cheer you on and empathize when you need that support.

Erin’s experience having suffered from IBS herself, brings such an understanding approach that not all dietitians have. She can really connect to her clients and can speak from a place of lived experience that I find incredibly valuable. She also provides many wonderful resources and helps clients build upon their toolkit to help get through the tougher days. This information helps empower her clients to manage their IBS with confidence and the support they need.

I am incredibly grateful for Erin and the Gutivate team and all they have done for me. Thank you for helping me and for all that you do for the IBS community.

Meet the digestive health specialists

Erin Judge

Founder & Lead Dietitian

After being diagnosed with IBS as a child, Erin accepted her symptoms as “normal.” When she experienced a major flare-up during the stress of college, she couldn’t take it anymore. She remembered feeling confused about what food to eat and having zero trust in her body. Once she discovered her food triggers and learned how to manage the stress in her life, she was able to restore her relationship with food and her body. Now, she makes confident food choices that support her body and allow her to do the things she loves, without reservation.

She is passionate about helping you do the same. If you are scared, unsure, and desperate for freedom from your IBS symptoms, she is here to guide you through the signature process she created with you in mind so you can live a more vibrant life.

Natalie Manitius

Gutivate Team Dietitian

Natalie’s love of food began at a young age, with insisting on cake for half-birthdays and bartering snacks in the school cafeteria. Later, this evolved into a desire to help others improve their health through nutrition, and led her to pursue graduate studies in public health and nutrition. Through her nutrition training at the University of Michigan, she subspecialized in preventive cardiology and gastroenterology, where she cultivated a passion for helping others through nutrition and lifestyle change.

Since, she has been a Registered Dietitian at the UCLA Division of Digestive Diseases for the past three years, and has worked with complex GI patients, trained dietitians and GI fellows, lectured to physicians and community members, and served as a member of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease workgroup of the Academy of Nutrition Dietitians in Gluten and Gastrointestinal Disorders. Natalie specializes in disorders of the gut-brain interaction, and believes that addressing the whole person through a multidisciplinary approach is key to achieving optimal health.

I am so thankful to have found someone I really trust walking through this phase of challenges. My goal in working with Erin was to introduce new foods. I had been on FODMAP elimination for 3 years, and I felt like I just kept restricting more and more food. My time with Erin has helped to add things back in safely.

I love that Erin is knowledgeable about food and the body in a holistic way, which has not been my experience with past nutritionists. She thinks about all the things that affect the gut, and helped me become more aware of how my mental and emotional states could affect my symptoms.

After working with Erin, my diet is much more varied AND I feel more knowledgeable about trying new foods on my own, especially with the help of her resources. I feel a little more brave about it all, and I most definitely met many goals!
